George Thabit, III, MD

George Thabit III, MD, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon at Silicon Valley Orthopaedics in Fremont, California. With over 30 years of experience in the medical field, Dr. Thabit shares his passion for providing health care to patients in need of orthopaedic treatment.

Dr. Thabit began his education at Stanford University in Stanford, California, where he received his bachelor’s degree in human biology. Eager to pursue his medical degree, he went on to achieve his Doctor of Medicine at the Bowman Gray Center for Medical Education at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Dr. Thabit then completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at Boston University Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. He later completed a pediatric and adolescent sports medicine fellowship at Harvard Medical/Children’s Hospital in Boston.

Relocating to California, Dr. Thabit completed a fellowship in adult sports medicine at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Santa Clara, California. He is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a member of several societies and associations, like the California Orthopaedic Association and the NFL Team Physicians Society.

Contributing to his accomplishments, Dr. Thabit holds his California Medical License, his California DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) license, and his Paneled Orthopaedic Surgeon in Orthopaedics license from the California Children’s Services.

Well-established in the medical field, Dr. Thabit has published articles in medical journals and presented expert research findings at numerous medical conferences.
